Hi, there!
I am Dr Avinash Kumar. I am currently working as a postdoctoral researcher at Telecom Sudparis, France. Prior to that, I have completed PhD in
Control Systems from IIT Mandi in January 2022. I work in the area of control systems, particularly Mathematical Control Theory. I have also worked as an Assistant Professor in School of Computer Science, UPES, Dehradun, India for about a year.

Research Interests 

I work in the area of mathematical control theory.
I have been analyzing multiple problems in control theory, as enlisted on the right. Furthermore, I am planning to explore multi-agent control design, degenerate optimal control and first-order splitting methods, like ADMM, to solve convex optimization problems in machine learning. I would love to collaborate on any of these themes, if you also feel inclined to these topics and have strong mathematical inclination, feel free to contact me.

Linear Quadratic Control

Analysis of linear quadratic control problems in the Krotov framework.

Suboptimal Linear Quadratic Control

Development of new results in suboptimal linear quadratic control design. These results are yet to be published and can be found in this arxiv manuscript.

Control design for Multi-agent Systems

Control design for multi-agent systems is a non-trivial task given the inherent structural conditions on the feedback gain matrix. In order to develop new results for suboptimal control of multi-agent systems new sufficient conditions based around linear matrix inequalities (LMIs) have been developed and details can be found in this arxiv manuscript.

Involvement in Projects

I have contributed in the "pyndi" project. The aim of this project is to help new learners to learn coding in Hindi. It helps beginners learn coding by simplifying the language as well as syntax barriers. I develop codes for the back-end where-in translation was done. This work is in collaboration with Dr Achal  Agrawal.
